In the South African language of Zulu, Emfuleni means “in the river.” In 2000, we took the name Emfuleni with our vision to partner with business-minded individuals to create income streams that improve the income generation for individuals, their families and their community.
We assist entrepreneurs – both existing and aspiring – to create and grow their enterprises. We want to use our business to create more businesses in our community.

We use our enterprise to self-sustain our 100% shareholder, iThemba Lethu.
iThemba Lethu is a 100% Broad-Based Black-Owned, Durban-based NGO committed to caring for vulnerable babies, children, youth and families to regain a meaningful destiny by recognising the value of their lives.
As an active mechanism of support, aggregated shares of all profit generated through Emfuleni’s Enterprise and Entrepreneurial Partnerships are channeled to iThemba Lethu.
